Women’s College Volleyball


Women’s volleyball is a very popular collegiate sport that can be both uplifting and exciting when you are cheering on your favorite team. In the 2020-21 season, University of Texas at Austin knocked Stanford out of their 1st place ranking with a record of 14-0 in the 2020 Fall AVCA, which is an overall ranking from the conferences played. The teams that finished top 3 in this ranking are University of Texas at Austin(1st) 14-0, Kentucky(2nd) 8-0, and

Baylor(3rd) 13-3.


Due to the pandemic, the NCAA postponed the regular season to January 22- April 3, 2021. Selections will then be made April 4th for the NCAA Tournament that will begin April 23-25. During the tournament there are 64 teams competing in single elimination play. 32 teams are automatically qualified and the other 32 teams are picked among the Division 1 Women’s Volleyball Committee.



The 1st place Longhorns had an overall of 717 kills in the Big 12 Conference. Junior, Logan Eggleston(OH) led the team with 221 kills alone and Sophomore, Skylar Fields(OPP) with 161 kills in the conference. The UT setters had 677 assists in sets with amazingly only 3 ball handling errors. The defense had an incredible amount of digs with a total of 681. Freshman, Nalani Iosia had 130 digs alone, which is the greatest total of the team. Texas will be fighting to keep that 1st place spot during the 2020-21 season that will began January 22, 2021 so tune in and cheer on the Longhorns….Hook’em Horns!
